Therefore, you need to advertise your website and online business. The following are some methods that really works when you want to promote your business:

1. Use pay-per-click advertising. Google Adwords is the number one advertising program on the internet. After the creation of pay-per-click models, more business are leaving the traditional banner ads program.

PPC advertising is a great method to boost traffic and money because you don’t need to pay for anything else. You pay only for traffic. People search for product or service at Google, when they see your ads, they might click on it and connect to your business.

Plus, the traffic is targeted. If you are into online marketing for a while, you should understand how important it is to focus on relevancy and targeted traffic. On the internet, if the traffic is not targeted, you won’t be making the money. It’s that simple.

2. Affiliate program. If you have your own product, whether eBooks, software or physical products, you will leave lots of money on the table if you don’t run an affiliate program.

Affiliate program is a risk-free method to get real buyers to your website. You don’t need to pay for each traffic or when your ads is displayed. You pay for affiliates only when the visitors that they sent made a purchase.

There are lots of ways to run your own affiliate program. One way would probably to use Clickbank or Paydotcom. This is the third party affiliate network. They will manage the tracking and payment for you.

3. Offline advertising. This includes newspaper, television, radio ads and magazines. If you run a local business, which is targeting certain region, this type of promotion could be effective.

To get the most from your advertising effort, you must understand your potential customers. Think of what is their hobby, what section in newspaper they would read, what television programs they might watch and what type of magazines they would buy. Advertise your business in relevant magazines or newspaper only.
